THE MCLAREN ELVA

The Elva embodies the next step in the evolution of McLaren’s bold design language. It proudly embraces the principles that characterised Bruce McLaren’s open-top racing cars of the 1960s: the M1A, M1B and M1C. Like the latest Ultimate Series, the original street-legal Elvas were light, open and mid-engined – created without compromise to deliver the most exciting, purest driving experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Elva embodies McLaren’s philosophy of “Form Follows Function” at the absolute limit. Clean, flowing lines combine with bold shapes to merge the boundaries between the interior and exterior of the car. Harmonious design for a perfect work of art.

To facilitate maximum enjoyment of the elements, the Elva features a groundbreaking Active Air Management System (AAMS). It channels air across the open cockpit at high speeds, creating a quiet space around the driver and passenger. So you feel the rush of adrenaline without any distractions. The Elva is the most agile McLaren ever. Responsiveness and feedback spell out entirely new rules of the game, and the mighty 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with 815 PS and 800 Nm of torque delivers an indescribable soundtrack to the cockpit thanks to a four-pipe exhaust system. Maximum passenger safety is ensured by the unique Roll Over Protection System (ROPS). The beautiful all-carbon fibre body consists of just three main elements, creating a clean, sculptural profile in line with the ethos of ultimate weight-saving. The almost supernatural agility is also owed to Proactive Chassis Control II, which delivers truly mesmerising handling on the race track and on the road. In the Elva, everything serves its purpose to become one with the car and the forces of nature.
